INGREDIENTS:
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 lb ground chicken(or turkey, or impossible meat!)
1 (8 oz) can water chestnuts
1 package of mushrooms - diced
3 scallions - sliced
1 head of romaine lettuce (or your favorite kind of lettuce!)
FOR THE SAUCE
1/4 cup hoisin sauce
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1/2 tablespoon sesame oil
2 teaspoon ginger
3 garlic cloves - diced
INSTRUCTIONS
In a bowl, add all sauce ingredients and whisk together, and set aside.
In a wok (or large pan), add 1 tablespoon sesame oil and bring to medium heat. Add in ground meat, cook and stir until crumbled and browned. Add water chestnuts and mushrooms.
Reduce heat. Pour sauce into the pan.
Place the lettuce on a plate, spoon on filling and garnish with scallions.
