Homemade Naan

INGREDIENTS:


Naan -

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon dried instant yeast

  • 1/2 teaspoon table salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar

  • 3/4 cup warm water

  • 3 tbsp olive oil

Garlic Butter-

  • 2 tablespoons salted butter

  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic


Instructions

  1. Set your stand mixer up with a dough hook and place flour, yeast, salt and sugar into the bowl and combine.

  2. Pour in water and oil and mix on low for 10 minute.

  3. Once mixed, cover the dough tightly with in a bowl with plastic wrap. If the dough is a little sticky go ahead and coat it lightly with flour. Let this rise for 20 minutes.

  4. Once the dough has reseted, divide the dough into balls (roughly 4 -6).

  5. On a floured surface, take a rolling pin to form the naan breads into any shape you desire.

  6. Put a pan on high heat and allow it to get hot.

  7. Place the dough onto the pan and cook for 1-2 minutes - it will start to puff up. Then flip, and repeat on the other side.

  8. Once done you can drizzle the garlic butter over top or eat with hummus!

Garlic Butter-

  1. In a small bowl microwave the butter and then stir in the garlic -(minced) once out of the microwave.
