INGREDIENTS:
2 cans of crescent rolls
8oz package of cream cheese at room temp.
2 tablespoon granulated sugar, divided
¾ teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon sour cream
Handful chocolate chips
Optional: assorted jams and preserves or pie filling (raspberry, cherry, strawberry, apricot, blueberry, lemon, etc) instead of chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350, and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Unroll crescent rolls and separate into rectangles of dough using two triangle to form a rectangle.
Roll the rectangle into a rope. (If you want a large danish, connect two rectangles and make into a giant danish!)
Spiral the rope around itself to form a loose circle.
IN the middle of the crescent spirals with your thumb, and stretch to make a well for the filling.
In a large mixing bowl, mix together cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract and sour cream.
Add about a tablespoon of filling to each roll.
Bake in oven for 12 to 15 minutes, or until lightly golden brown.
Cool for a few minutes, and serve while warm!
